EMSELLA TREATMENT

Strengthen your pelvic floor without surgery

Looking for a non-invasive approach to better bladder control and pelvic floor health? EMSELLA offers a treatment option for women and men seeking to address urinary incontinence, strengthen pelvic floor muscles, and improve their quality of life.

How does EMSELLA work?

Emsella is an innovative development in the field of pelvic health, changing women’s and men’s lives across the world. Using High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic, (HIFEM) technology, EMSELLA is one of the easiest, most relaxing, and non-invasive treatments available to help reduce urinary leakage and dribbles, and free women and men from incontinence and improve sexual wellness.

By the time you come in for an EMSELLA treatment, you will likely have weak or atrophied muscle support around your pelvic floor. This is what causes many women and men to suffer embarrassing urinary incontinence or decreased sexual satisfaction. Strengthening these muscles, and helping them to become tighter will go a long way in improving the patients’ quality of life.

With EMSELLA you don’t have to think about whether you are doing it right. A specialist at ThreeHealth will guide you to a comfortable seated position and where you will comfortably complete your treatment. There is no discomfort and rather than have to work on it every day, or twice a day, you will only need twice-weekly appointments.

What is incontinence?

The most common type of incontinence is stress incontinence, which happens when the pelvic floor muscles become weaker. Usually the pelvic floor muscles wrap tightly around the urethra, holding everything together, after childbirth and the menopause, the muscles can become weaker causing incontinence. This means that the muscles don’t wrap so tightly around the urethra and bladder, and can relax at some inconvenient times, leading to embarrassing leaks!

Prostate surgery can also result in incontinence in men so here at ThreeHealth we help people from all walks of life and having gone through all sorts of trauma with the powerful Emsella Chair treatment.

The treatment process

Consultation

The process begins with a consultation during which we will go over medical history and symptoms to determine if this is a suitable treatment for you.

During the Treatment

During your session, all you have to do is take a seat comfortably on the EMSELLA chair. There isn’t any need to undress or change into a gown, so you can stay in your clothing and remain seated for a 28-minute session. You may experience some tingling but there is no pain or other discomforts. You can bring a book or something to listen to that will keep you occupied for that duration. We do ask that you wear loose clothing such as loose light pants or skirt so there are no restrictions on your body by clothing whilst the electromagnetic technology performs contractions on you, so please try not to wear jeans or tight pants. We will discuss issues such as pads in your consultation.

During each session, you will have experienced the equivalent of over 11,000 Kegels. This procedure helps to not only strengthen existing muscles but also build new muscle fibres and stimulate proteins. This also helps to enhance the neuromuscular control of the bladder.

The treatment course we offer is six sessions, conducted over the course of three weeks. You should be able to experience some improvement right from your first or second session with the most noticeable difference by the sixth session. Everybody is different and unique so we work with you to achieve the best results possible.

Tired of the got to go feeling?

Increase Pelvic Muscle Strength

The pelvic floor muscles provide essential support to the pelvic organs, spanning the base of the pelvis.

When these muscles are strong, you have better control over your bladder and bowel functions. Conversely, weakened pelvic floor muscles can lead to inadequate support for your internal organs and difficulties in controlling urination.

The EMSELLA device utilizes HIFEM energy to enhance the strength of your pelvic floor muscles while you comfortably sit in a chair, fully clothed. This treatment is akin to completing 11,800 Kegel exercises in under 30 minutes.

In addition to strengthening the pelvic floor, EMSELLA also improves blood circulation in the pelvic region, enhancing sexual pleasure and aiding in the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

FDA-approved, BTL Emsella offers both women and men a non-surgical, non-invasive, and convenient alternative to various other incontinence treatments.

Moreover, there is no need for recovery or downtime following a BTL Emsella treatment. Remarkably, unlike many similar procedures, it can be performed without the need to disrobe. Each session takes just under half an hour, and you can start experiencing noticeable results within two to three sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Urinary incontinence is defined as the involuntary leakage of urine. There are three different types of urinary incontinence:

  • Stress incontinence is when there is exerted pressure on the bladder causing leakage. This can be caused by coughing, laughing, sneezing, or exercising
  • Urge incontinence is the sudden, intense urge to urinate frequently
  • Mixed incontinence is a combination of both stress and urge incontinence

This might be a result of weak pelvic floor muscles since pelvic floor muscles play an important role in supporting pelvic organs and controlling continence. Physiological changes can contribute to the development of urinary incontinence; changes such as vaginal delivery, menopause, and aging can decondition pelvic floor muscles.

EMSELLA is a great option for men and women of any age who desire a solution for urinary incontinence and improvement in their quality of life. Studies confirm 95% of patients report an improved quality of life.*
